Truer Words is a podcast about the work of making art. It’s created and produced by Melissa and Kathryn, two friends who care deeply about feminism, classic teen movies of the ‘90s, and #virgoproblems. Each episode, we’ll talk to artists about their inspirations, creative routines, and, above all, their day to day hustle.
Melissa Baumgart writes and teaches creative writing to children in New York City. She studied Radio/TV/Film and History at Northwestern University and holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts
Kathryn J. Benson is a writer, librarian, and cardigan enthusiast. She lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she tends to an overgrown garden and a dog named after Pippi Longstocking. She holds an BA in English from Grinnell College, an MLIS from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
